Session from MOU Organization: ‘What corporate expects from the fresher’s like you?’

D.A.V college recently conducted a session on skills required in the corporate sector of Nepal. The session was held by Mr. Mohan Thapa, the Chief Human Resource Officer of MAW Enterprises and an alumni of D.A.V College. With over 12 years of experience in HR and General Management, Mr. Thapa provided valuable insights on what corporate expect from fresher like the students attending the session.
To help students identify their career anchors, Mr. Thapa also conducted a self-evaluation session. Students were assigned a career anchor paper with 40 different questions related to their preferred values in an organization. They were then instructed on how to calculate their ratings to determine their career anchor.
Furthermore, the session also covered the proper use of social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more. Students were shown how social media can be a great medium for career exploration and enhancement.
Overall, the session provided students with a better understanding of the skills required in the corporate sector of Nepal and how they can develop their careers using social media platforms appropriately.
