Seminar in Research Methodology: Topic Selection/ Concept Note - BBA & BBM 7th Semester
Published on 2025-07-27

Drafting a Summer Project Report marks a pivotal milestone in the academic journey of BBA and BBM 7th-semester students. This project is not just a curriculum requirement, but also an opportunity for students to explore a sector of interest, conduct meaningful research, and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. To guide and inspire our students during this critical phase, a special Topic Selection/Concept Note Session was organized, an event dedicated to nurturing research excellence and practical insight.
We had the distinct honor of hosting Professor Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University, as our honored resource person for the session. Dr. Chalise enlightened students with his deep knowledge and experience, offering valuable guidance on the practical aspects of drafting a Summer Project Report. What made this session truly impactful was his ability to bridge theoretical frameworks with the current and emerging issues in Nepal. His insights helped students recognize how research can serve not only academic goals but also contribute to national progress.
Therefore, the key takeaways from the Session were:
- Understanding the importance of sector, topic selection and focused research.
- Approaching the project with a blend of academic discipline and real-world relevance.
- Learning how to relate theoretical models to contemporary issues across various sectors within Nepal.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Professor Dr. Mahananda Chalise for his continuous dedication to nurturing future professionals. His wisdom, humility, and commitment to education have left a lasting impact on our students.
As the students now embark on their Summer Project journey, we encourage them to carry forward the lessons learned, to research with purpose, to think critically, and to explore how their work can make a difference.
