Shaping the upcoming future to its core, D.A.V. College never compromises with adequately educating its students regarding the internal and external world of management. In the context of introducing the students to the experimental practice of real working scenarios, D.A.V. College organized a brief “Management Simulation and Training Program” for BBA/BBM 3rd Semester students. The program was conducted from 28th to 29th December, 2024 at Hotel Mirabel Resort, Dhulikhel. The training was actively supervised and guided by Mr. Tekraj Sharma, Sr. General Manager at KL Dugar Group and President of Human Resource Society Nepal (HRSN). This program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world professional experiences.

Management Simulation is an interactive group exercise and training program that imitates the operation of a real-world system, imparts students the different types of competencies like knowledge, skills, and attitudes, that will ultimately improve their performance in identifying problems, analyzing them, and take a collective decision for workable situations. During the training, the students were required to address critical challenges faced by the simulated airline company “Everest Airline.” They were divided into groups and assigned to be involved in forming a Board through a democratic election process with designations like Chairman, CEO, Member Secretary, department heads, and many more. The group discussion mainly focused on identifying the problem in Everest Airlines system and analyzing the obstacles to viable solutions. Likewise, the board meeting highlighted the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to make the final and collective decision.

After the process, the students had to make a presentation regarding the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of their respective departments and present it in front of Board Members, Guests, and the Resource Person. By participating in this program, the students gained invaluable insights into the complexities of the professional world. This program served as a valuable stepping stone for the students on their journey toward successful careers in management.
The entire D.A.V. College family extends its deepest gratitude to Mr. Tekraj Sharma for his valuable time, expertise, and engaging delivery of the program. His guidance and insights proved extremely useful to the student's learning experience.
