D.A.V. Toastmasters Installation Program

D.A.V. College has officially started its enriching journey towards Toastmasters; a platform where students are focused for the development of public speaking, communication and leadership skills. D.A.V. Toastmasters Club formulated its first initiation through an installation program held on April 24, 2024 with participants from all programs and mentors from different Toastmasters Clubs inside Kathmandu Valley.
About the Club:
D.A.V. Toastmasters Club, part of Toastmasters International, is part of a worldwide network of clubs that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through regular practice and constructive feedback. Our club is Nepal’s third student-driven club, with an additional focus on preparing our members to lead better and stand out amongst the crowd.
D.A.V. Toastmasters club under District 41, Area B2 aims to grow and learn aided by six pathways derived by Toastmasters International, where each pathway is constructed around a key facet of public speaking.

Aspire to be a dynamic and thriving community where every member is empowered to become an exceptional communicator and leader, fostering personal growth and positively impacting the broader community.
Mission:
Provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skill, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
The D.A.V. Toastmasters are assigned with positions and duties of President, Vice-President (Education), Vice- President (Public Relation), Vice-President (Membership), Secretary, Treasurer and Sergeant at arms (Logistics) including other active members.
The D.A.V. Toastmasters Club will have to commit their time for a weekly meeting which will be conducted every Saturday from 8:00am at D.A.V. premises. In this meeting each members acts as Toastmaster of the Morning, Presiding Officer, Sergeant At Arms, Timer, Ah counter, Grammarian, Icebreaker, Table Topics Master, Ballot Counter, Evaluator. Every week the Toastmasters will have to come up with a different topic to speak in front of the audience and learn about do’s and don’ts of public speaking. Basically, Toastmasters Club is not only about improving the communication skills but also developing the ability of growing by helping each other learn and progress.
D.A.V team would like to thank the Toastmasters Community for their guidance on officially starting the D.A.V. Toastmasters Club and starting an expedition of ‘Being a Boss Tomorrow’.
