BBA Socio-Cultural Study Report Presentation

Providing the students an opportunity to explore lives beyond the course book D.A.V. College actively organized a 4 days long Socio-cultural study tour to Kalabang, Pokhara. The visit was scheduled for the students of BBA 5th semester. The students were introduced to the lifestyle of people living at Kalabang; their daily earning routine, their struggles and their source of living. Examining the mentioned topics, the students prepared a detailed report and presentation on different topics like; Homestay Analysis and Development, Women’s Skills and Development (WSDO), Culture Diversity and many more. The students were allocated into groups from which they also learned the ability to work as a team and present blends of ideas into one conclusion. The session was evaluated by our respected resource person Associate Professor Dr. Ram Bahadur K.C. on 25th July, 2023.
Furthermore, the dedicated faculty members of D.A.V. College also helped the students as supervisors to improvise their content, choosing a proper topic and other areas of improvement. They were highly encouraged to acknowledging the lives and struggles of people living at Kalabang and learn from the real- life scenarios. Thus, the session stood out as the beneficial one for the students to eye-witness the real life mechanics of work, culture and ethics of people functioning at different places with distinct background.
We as a team are planning forward for more of such sessions keeping in count the positive feedbacks and excitement of the students to learn and explore to the greater level.
